Beach Mosaic - made with stone, shell & fused glass. small handmade gift

This small round mosaic is made from shells and mudstone with inserts of smalti - fused glass.  The stone is mudstone from her property in the Coal Valley Tasmania and the shell is from a Tasmanian beach.  

This would make a wonderful gift idea for the home or for someone special.  It has natural tones with some warm pinks and purples used in the glass inserts. 

Sue is a mosaic artist with over 20 years experience in mosaics, she likes to blend the old with the new - a broken shell with bright fused glass (smalti) that catches the light.  Materials are cut by hand in her studio.
