We cover two methods for making lightweight non-flat wall-hanging substrates suitable for interior or exterior use. You learn to make an undulating or folded wall hanging substrate of your own design. The second substrate is hollow, such as a wall-hanging mask or torso. Both pieces are made in two stages and are finished in your own time. At the end of the first day you get a small (approximately 20 x 25 cm) half-made form to finish, including adding hanging hardware. On day two you mosaic this substrate. By the end of the workshop you will have made two substrates up to the end of stage 1, completed a substrate including attaching hangers and mosaiced on a non-flat substrate. You will have the skills to make and mosaic your own substrates from scratch at home. Full notes and all materials are supplied, including supplies to finish your first two substrates at home. For day two, mosaic materials are also supplied but you may want to bring your own material to supplement. Audience: People with some previous mosaic experience who want to take their mosaics to a new level and make their own substrates. Payment in full at time of booking includes non-refundable deposit of $100. For full details of cancellation policies see www.wintercreekmosaics.com.au You will be sent a list of what to bring two weeks before the class date. Fee is $430 plus on the day $95.00 material fee paid direct
